Muhammad Usman Elif is an advocate, Litigation Head and partner at “Princeton Legal Advocates & Consultants.” He has an extensive working experience in civil and criminal litigation, corporate and commercial matters, Intellectual Property, Technology and AI laws, and International matters. He has worked with leading law firms in Pakistan and advised more than 100 international Clients from various countries of the World.
His litigation Practices encompasses civil and criminal proceedings, regulatory and administratve compliance, commercial disputes and technology related disputes. He has also gained substantial practical experience in matters involving regulatory authorities and public sector institutions. Particularly, he worked on matters involving the Punjab Food Authority including criminal trial and regulatory proceedings, where he has undertaken detailed legal research and case analysis, assisted in litigation strategy, prepared legal arguments and appeared before courts. While, he has also assisted the Punjab Employees Social Security Institution (PESSI), in different matters if social security, employment and court proceedings. He also closely works with Citi Bank cases, assisted in recovery matters and court trials.
In the field of emerging technologies, Usman has developed a particular interest in artificial intelligence, technology law and digital regulation including AI liability, platform regulation, data governance, data privacy, and emerging legal issues arising from technological developments. His academic and professional work reflects a strong interest in developing legal frameworks and technological challenges.
Usman Elif is also a legal writer and researcher and he has published articles on various legal and contemporary gaps. His research area of interests are technology and AI laws, international law, intellectual property, commercial law, public policy and AI Laws and legal regulation. Beyond law, he is an Urdu writer and poet with a strong interest in literature, philosophy, law and politics. His interdisciplinary interests inform his approach to legal research, writing and advocacy.
